Optical Admittance Model of Semiconductor Quantum Wells for Optoelectronic Devices

Abstract

The optical admittance of interband and intersubband transitions in semiconductor quantum wells is set by the fine structure constant. Compact models for free-space and guided wave properties of quantum wells using optical admittance are presented.
