Plasmonic Monopole Antenna at the Optical Frequency Range

Abstract

Optical monopole antenna is designed by extending the inner metal of a plasmonic coaxial cable out of the ground. The transmitting property is studied with the similarity and difference to the conventional microwave version addressed.
