Photo-thermal mirror method for determination of thermal diffusivity of nontransparent samples

Abstract

We determine the thermal diffusivity of nontransparent samples by measuring the reflectivity changes of a collimated probe light beam generated by the absorption of a focused pump beam. Good agreement with previous measurements is reported.
