Broadband Self-Phase Modulation, Cross-Phase Modulation, and Four-Wave Mixing in 1-cm-Long AlGaAs Waveguides

Abstract

We demonstrate self-phase modulation with a nonlinear phase shift of 5π, cross-phase modulation, and four-wave mixing tunable within a 14-nm range in waveguides written in an AlGaAs wafer with a specially designed composition.
