Experimental Detection of Optical Vortices using a Shack-Hartmann Wavefront Sensor

Abstract

Laboratory experiments are carried out to detect optical vortices, in atmospheric turbulence conditions, using a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor and an adapted vortex potential method of detection. Experimental results of vortex detection are shown.
