High Sensitivity Photothermal Lens Detection of Metallic Nanoparticles: Applications for Detection of Protein Biomarkers

Abstract

We report on a photothermal lens detection of metallic nanoparticles in water and serum samples. We demonstrate detection limits of 0.5 ppb. We discuss the use of metallic nanoparticles for detection of protein biomarkers.
