Nonlinear Wave Transport in Disordered Photonic Crystal Waveguides

Abstract

Crossover from Anderson localization to ballistic regime is investigated for pulses propagating in photonic crystal waveguides affected by disorder, showing a better robustness of nonlinear waves (temporal gap-solitons) compared with the linear regime.
