High-peak-power surface high-harmonic generation from a tape at extreme ultra-violet wavelengths

Abstract

Laser-driven high-harmonic generation from solids produces intense XUV radiation. To overcome frequent target replacement, a novel design based on a spooling tape drive was implemented, yielding several megawatts (peak power) in the 15th harmonic alone.
