Physics and Simulation of Smallest Plasmonic Semiconductor Nano-Disk Laser at Near Surface Plasmon Resonance

Abstract

Semiconductor plamsonic nanodisk lasers (SPNDL) are investigated at near silver-semiconductor plasmon resonance region. We show via simulation the size of SPNDL at 600nm has effective mode volume 1.31×10−4 λ03, smallest of any lasers to date.
