Supercontinuum light vector beam generation with a tunable liquid crystal q-plate

Abstract

Supercontinuum optical vector vortex beams are created using a tunable q-plate, and its feasibility as a tunable spectral filter is demonstrated. Potential applications include high speed optical telecommunication and in super-resolution microscopy.
