Abstract

We directly assemble membrane-integrated superconducting-nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) on optical fiber-ferrule facets, yielding extremely compact, fiber-coupled SNSPD systems. Our initial demonstration shows 1% system detection efficiency, which can be further improved significantly.
