Single End Hybrid Brillouin-Rayleigh Technology and its Industrial Applications

Abstract

The paper presents the single-end, hybrid Brillouin-Rayleigh sensing system and its applications in structural health monitoring and oil & gas industry. Moreover, both recent progress and challenges of distributed optical fiber sensing are also discussed.
