Photonic Crystal Modulators and Related Slow-Light Devices in Si Photonics

Abstract

Recent progress in slow-light devices fabricated by CMOS-compatible process is presented. MZ modulators are shortened to <100 μm. Delays less than 100 and 10 ps are electrically tunable with TO and carrier plasma effects, respectively.
