Observation of fluorescence induced by indirect third-harmonic generation

Abstract

We report on studies of fluorescence induced by third-harmonic generation (THG) using femtosecond pulses. Using tight focused laser pulses, we observed that the THG can induce dye fluorescence similar to high-order three-photon absorption process.
