Generation of broadband continuum in spiral photonic microwire by femtosecond pulses for infrared nonlinear applications

Abstract

We numerically investigate supercontinuum generation in spiral photonic microwire pumped in the normal dispersion regime. A spectrum spanning more than two octaves is obtained in 5 mm propagation with low peak power pulses at 2.8µm.
