Measurements of the impact of polarization on filaments and the associated supercontinuum

Abstract

Polarization and supercontinuum generation are intimately intertwined, as our measurements of polarization evolution in filaments and supercontinuum spectrum demonstrate. Anomalous spectral broadening is observed for particular ellipticities in molecular gases, but not in rare gases.
