Nanoscaled Rare-Earth Doped Crystals Heater

Abstract

We develop novel approach to hyperthermia for cancer treatment based on multiphonon relaxation of optical excitation in the Dy3+ doped nanocrystals after laser irradiation. It allows set fast and accurately preset temperature for local heating.
