3D Fractal Analysis of Optical Images of Retinal Amyloid for Staging in Alzheimer’s Disease

Abstract

Fractal dimensions of retinal amyloid deposits were calculated using a 3D box counting method. The maximum and average fractal dimensions were significantly correlated to the number of deposits (p<0.03 and p<0.05, respectively).
