First-Principles Study of the Optical Properties of AA-Stacked Bilayer Graphene

Abstract

The density functional theory is used to study optical properties in AA-stacked bilayer graphene. The band gap increases as the interlayer distance gets smaller. The anisotropic permittivity of AA-stacked bilayer graphene is demonstrated.
