Abstract

Free-space quantum key distribution (QKD) operation in daylight is extremely challenging due to large amount of noise photons from sunlight. Moreover, implementation loopholes of a free-space QKD system have been largely studied due to its vulnerability to source side channel effects. We study the performance of a free-space quantum key distribution system operated at the clock rate of 400MHz in daylight without source side channel effects.
