Observation of anomalous Floquet insulator edge states in periodically-driven silicon photonic topological microresonator lattices

Abstract

We realized a Floquet topological photonic insulator by using a square lattice of coupled octagonal resonators to emulate periodically-driven systems. Direct imaging of the edge states verifies the nontrivial topological behaviour of the lattice.
