The Effect of Optical Scattering on Infrared Heating

Abstract

A joint Optical-Thermal model was used to assess changes in laser heating when varying a phantom’s reduced scattering coefficient. Simulated results were validated using thermal imaging of polyacrylamide gel phantoms.
