Abstract

Laser induced damage threshold (LIDT) of Dy3+ doped Ga0.8As39.2S60 and Ga0.8As29.2Sb10S60 glasses are investigated. Both Dy3+ doped glasses show lower LIDT which may be due to more energy absorbed by Dy3+ without converting it all to fluorescence.
