Efficient Self-Similar Spectral Compression of Chirped Soliton Pulses in Nonlinear Fibers with Exponentially Increasing Dispersion

Abstract

The self-similar spectral compression of chirped soliton pulses is numerically demonstrated in fibers with exponentially increasing dispersion. A spectral compression factor of 16.12 is achieved, which is higher than that of chirp-free input pulses.
