Detection of N2O Using An External-Cavity Quantum Cascade Laser

Abstract

We developed an EC-QCL-based spectrometer around 8 μm for detection of nitrous oxide. Using wavelength modulation spectroscopy and 2nd harmonic detection, a minimum detection limit of 15 ppbv is achieved in less than 10 s.
