Abstract
Metal-insulator-silicon-insulator-metal waveguides, realized by using standard CMOS technology, are modified into plasmofluidic waveguides. The insulator of the former is replaced by fluid to implement the latter. The plasmofluidic waveguides are experimentally and theoretically investigated.
