Ultra Compact Optical Switches and Polarization Splitter based on Non-Symmetric Slotted Si Wire Waveguides

Abstract

In this work we propose a novel and compact design of optical switches, directional couplers and polarization splitters by optimizing the slot position and coupling coefficients between two symmetric and non-symmetric slotted Si wire waveguides.
