Plasmonic Metasurfaces and Metalines for Integrated Silicon Optics

Abstract

We address the design and the experimental demonstration of two devices based on the nanoscale engineering of the effective index of a silicon waveguide by the plasmonic resonance of metallic wires implemented in metasurfaces and metalines, allowing the implementation of “on demand” light roads in NIR domain.
