Design of a Domed LED Illuminator for High-Angle Computational Illumination

Abstract

Computational Illumination adds significant functionality to existing microscopes by replacing standard illumination with a programmable LED array. Here we discuss the design and benefits of a programmable LED dome consisting of over 1000 discrete LEDs.
