All-optical imaging architecture for snapshot demodulation of optical signals at radio-frequencies

Abstract

We report the design and experimental proof-of-principle of a novel snapshot quadrature demodulation imaging architecture, allowing retrieval of amplitude and phase of light modulated at radio frequencies, without synchronization between emitter and receiver, and with continuous frequency tuning capability.
