Comparison of adaptive free form lens with deformable mirrors

Abstract

We compared the performance of several deformable mirrors and deformable lenses as regard their capability of correcting static and dynamic aberrations both in open- and closed- loop. These tests highlighted notable differences between the devices as regards the performance in different cases, as well as their ease to use.
