Positron generation via ultra-intense laser irradiating a tapered hollow foam-like target

Abstract

An improved scheme for high-flux, low-divergence and high-energy positrons generation is proposed. With a thick extra layer in the front and a large opening radius hollow cone, positron generation is enhanced, and the beam collimation and energy are well kept.
