Abstract

Employing a TW-class infrared femtosecond laser (1.56 μm) for energy-scaling of high-order harmonics under a loosely focusing geometry, we generate bright, coherent, ultrafast soft x-rays up to 285 eV in Ne and 400 eV in He, respectively.
