Single-shot vibrational energy distributions of a microscale detonation using hybrid fs/ps CARS

Abstract

Single-shot O2 and N2 vibrational energy distributions behind gaseous detonations are studied using hybrid fs/ps CARS. Differences in measured vibrational temperature and Chapman-Jouguet predictions are discussed using detonation theory and nonequilibrium kinetics.
