Acoustical Response Characteristics of an Optomechanical Accelerometer

Abstract

A Fabry-Perot microcavity-based accelerometer was tested in an anechoic chamber to measure the limiting noise for the device operating in air at room temperature. The acoustic response illustrates the design requirement for an optical microphone.
