Investigation of Si3N4 Microring Resonator for Bio-Chemical Sensing Applications

Abstract

We design and fabricate Si3N4 microring resonator for measuring refractive index change in aqueous environment. The experimentally observed sensitivity >72 nm/RIU indicates its suitability for biochemical sensing applications.
