Self-Compression of Ultrashort Pulses in Hollow Waveguide for High Harmonic Generation

Abstract

Self-compression of pulses was observed in gas-filled waveguide. This can be used to enhance High Harmonic Generation (HHG). Here, 2cm hollow waveguide with inner diameter 150μm was used. Bright HHG in water window was produced.
