Optimized Cooling of Atoms in Optical Lattice for High Rate Quantum Memory Operation

Abstract

We present an optimized cooling sequence for Rb atoms in a 1D optical lattice for quantum memory experiments. We show an increase in number of memory write and read events per one lattice load.
