Abstract

Certain spectroscopic measurements are sensitive to the existence of particular classes of hypothesized, but as-yet undiscovered, particles. Sufficiently sensitive measurements of this type could detect the existence of particles with mass much larger than that of the heaviest known particles, such as the Higgs boson and the top quark. This talk will describe measurements of this type, such as the ACME experiment that is searching for the electron’s electric dipole moment.
