Two-Dimensional Constant-Intensity Waves in Non-Hermitian Scattering Media

Abstract

We show that constant-intensity waves without any interference fringes are possible in two-dimensional non-Hermitian landscapes. The general gain-loss distributions, under which multiple scattering can be fully controlled, are examined in detail.
