Heralded single photons using commercial birefringent optical fiber

Abstract

We report a bright and tunable heralded single photon source at telecom using four-wave-mixing in a commericial birefringent fiber. The source exhibits a purity of 85%, CAR of 100 and raw heralding efficiency of 30%.
