Abstract

Gas sensors are of great interest in detection and monitoring of air pollution. We report on the sensing of ammonia gas using two optical modalities. We demonstrate an all-fiber based hollow core ammonia gas sensing and a photoacoustic based sensing of ammonium solution. Both systems demonstrate fast response time, high repeatability and cost effectiveness.
