Accumulation and directionality of large spontaneous emission enabled by epsilon-near-zero film

Abstract

We demonstrate spectral accumulation of large spontaneous emission for nanocavities with different sizes in coupled Ag nanorod-epsilon near zero film system. Due to infinite impedance of the film, the far field radiation is almost directional.
