Orbital-Angular-Momentum Multiplexing for High-Capacity Free-Space Optical Communications

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Beams can carry orbital angular momentum (OAM), and different amounts of OAM can define a set of orthogonal modes. This presentation will highlight advances in using multiplexing of multiple OAM beams in free-space communications to increase capacity and spectral efficiency.
