Abstract

Alumina Toughened Zirconia (ATZ) combining the toughness of alumina with the durability of zirconia are promising implant materials. The topography and wettability, i.e. major bioactivity determinants, of ATZ surfaces were enhanced by femtosecond-laser biomimetic texturing.
