Ultrafast All-Optical Detection of Chiral Degrees of Freedom by Symmetry Breaking High Harmonic Spectroscopy

Abstract

We theoretically explore a new all-optical chiroptical technique based on high harmonic generation, where the chiral signal is background-free and relies solely on electric-dipole interactions. We also demonstrate a similar approach for ultrafast ring-current detection.
