Performance verification of all-optical modulation format conversion from QPSK to symbol rate doubled BPSK

Abstract

We propose an all-optical modulation format conversion method from a QPSK signal to a symbol-rate doubled single BPSK signal by using four-wave mixing, interference, and pulse width compression. Numerical analysis confirms error-free conversion.
