Ultra-subwavelength Flatland Passive and Active Plasmonics

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Dimensionality profoundly influences condensed-matter electron behaviors with 2D confinement of electrons enabling new phenomena. One effect is ultra-subwavelength 2D plasmons. I will discuss opportunities their 700× wavelength reduction offer.
