Recent Advances in Nanoparticle Doping for Improved High Energy Fiber Lasers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We report slope efficiencies of 74% for single mode erbium nanoparticle doped fiber and 53% in a resonantly cladding-pumped laser configuration. Fibers with holmium doped LaF3 and Lu2O3 nanoparticles exhibited slope efficiencies up to 85%
