Extreme Pulses in Optically Injected Semiconductor Lasers: Precursors and On-demand Generation

Abstract

I show that precursors of ultra-intense pulses (oscillatory patterns that tend to precede extreme pulses) can be identified. I also show that appropriated current perturbations can trigger extreme pulses on demand.
